These fit # 8 sheet metal screws perfectly and I really cranked on the screws without any of the u-nuts stripping out. Sweet!!

These seem like fairly high quality tab nuts allowing you ensure a good secure bond between two pieces of sheet metal when you have access to the back side of one of them.

The clip is sturdy and well made. In my application I was using it with a 1/16 thick perf angle iron, and the clip isn't fabricated to grab that thin a material, so I had to tape it in place for it to hold still. But then, the 1/4:20 machine screw wouldn't thread into the nut by hand... very inconvenient (!) but not a deal breaker at 8:30 in the evening except that for one of the clipNuts, the threads were so bad that it ripped the ClipNut apart. I ended up cobbling up a solution but threw away the leftovers.
