If you are looking for an 80mm spindle holder and don't want to pay $80 for the shapeoko (or in my case they never have it in stock) then this one will work fine. It fits the HDZ -Z axis perfectly with one exception. I noticed above someone said it came with M6 bolts, but that is totally incorrect. It comes with M8 bolts and the Shapeoko comes has M6 holes, so the bolts with this one won't work. You have two options, you can grind these bolts to M6 using a metal grinder and an M6 die(which I did), or you can go ahead and order M6 bolts, because you won't find them at the local hardware store in this length. You need 85mm length bolts to make this work. So make sure you get some or you will be waiting another few days for them to come in. It fit my spindle perfectly, is much better quality than the others offered on amazon which are cast aluminum(the ones that come with the kits).

Please keep in mind if using for a cnc spindle. I purchased this to fit my Metabo Router and realized it is 82mm diameter. This clamp is EXACTLY 80mm as it clearly states on the description. I was hoping to maybe open it a little to fit my Metabo but that’s not possible as it’s a very solid well machine bracket. I’m going to use it for a 2.2kw spindle I have ordered instead. It will fit perfectly with that. Make sure you mic out your spindle before ordering.I also doesn’t have a backplate for my z axis (mines smaller) so I am milling a bracket for that.Shipped quickly and is exactly as stated and well packaged.
