This is a great concept and works great on our chain link fence. We have had issues with the smaller dogs digging under the fence, even with tension wire. We had no choice for their safety to go this route, by installing an electric wire along the base of the fence perimeter. These were installed a year ago and are still very sturdy and worth every penny! Our dogs are safe and no worries about escapees! We have tried the buried cable, which was a waste of good money, because once the dogs learned how to run through the buried "Zone" they continued to do it. It only hurt for a minute and they were off and running.

I purchased these and installed them. Worked great for a 3 months until the hot summer sun caused them to dry rot and crack. Went to Tractor supply and bought the metal ones. Way better.

these all plastic insulators are working I will see how they resist UV and how long they last
