Sturdy plastic brake lining gauges with the width of each gauge molded into the face of the gauge. I used my digital caliper to confirm diameters/width of each gauge and they are all very close, give or take a tenth or a millimeter or fraction of an inch. These will give you a good idea how much time you have left on a set of brake pads or shoes when checking/cleaning your brakes. Especially good tool when measuring brake pads through the back of a brake caliper.

This is a handy tool to have around the shop. I used a micrometer to check the thickness of each gauge and they were all true to the size stamped on them. I would say for the price this is a good tool to have if you do a lot of break work.
