Specification
The fuse, thermistor are fail-safe that stops the electricity to the heating system when a dryer overheats. This fuse self-destructs and cannot be reset, it must be replaced when there is no continuity between the terminals.

If you are handy and like to do DIY repairs then you cant go wrong with this. It fit my dryer perfectly, too less than 20 minutes to install and now we have dry clothes.

I ordered these as preventative maintenance on my Whirlpool Duet gas dryer along with the thermistor in the back of the machine. It's a straightforward replacement job. Take your time and take photos of each step when taking off the various pieces as it can be confusing to reassemble the machine. YT has numerous variations so finding the one that matches your dryer will help but they are all very similar but have subtle differences that the photos you take will help guide you in reassembly..

Only the 8577274 Dryer Thermistor was bad. I also ordered two more and those also where bad. I ended up going to appliance pros.com to get one that works.

Way cheaper than the OEM parts, and works as far as I can tell. There is no real reason these should cost as much as the OEM charges for them.
