Your cart is empty.872 Series Pressure Snubbers are designed to improve readability and prevent wear on delicate gauge mechanisms by slowing rapid pressure changes and reducing shock and chattering. A pressure snubber should be installed on a gauge in any application where pressure spikes and/or pulsations may be present. If a single snubber does not correct the oscillation, it is recommended to place an additional snubber in line with the first. Trerice Pressure Snubbers reduce the pulsation by forcing the pressure medium through a porous metal core and are constructed from brass or 303 stainless steel for use on a variety of pressure media.

I was so glad to find these. Used them many years ago than never saw them again. Supply houses never heard of them. They work great for mounting a pressure gauge near a pump. Dampens the pulses in pressure and eliminates that bouncing needle of the gauge that ends up killing the gauge prematurely. There's a porous stone in there and passes the pressure very slowly.

I have 2 shallow water pumps that supply water to my home. I alternate them every month. The snubbers stop the water hammer at 30 psi when the pumps start. Very easy repair and a good price.

it eliminates hydraulic / pneumatic pulsations in sensing line for 4" and larger gauges that will cause ware in linkages indicated by sticking pointer. these may not be seen in smaller gauges w/ parts of less mass.
