I got this for doing some lead-free Bleigiessen for New Years, and it took quite a bit longer to melt than lead, and we couldn't really get it to work well over a candle, but we got it to melt really quickly by holding the spoon really close to the stove-top! It was fairly clean and worked really well for what we were using it for. I mean, it's tin, so there's not really much that they could change short of making no longer be just tin.

Super clean bar great for making stannis chloride and Santa's chloride crystals or precious metals testing pgmsAnd the price is very good too cuz dang has tim gone up lately I haven't bought a tin solder in a while and it was so expensive it was like I got a source some Pier tin it's crazy out there

Product was delivered on time and worked perfectly. Excellent value overall. I chose this particular model because it was supplied with an extra crucible (pot). How to change out the crucible, however, was not obvious and there were no instructions whatsoever.

I needed to tin many large stranded cables, from 4awg to 0/2 and this made the job very easy. Comes with an extra melting pot too. Very impressed of the quality and value for the cost. Works very well with the adjustable heating thermostat.

For regular 16ga wire... this is the perfect size without wasting
