I don't need a ton of paint and the texture is smooth. Excellent and exactly what I needed.

I gesso and tint these. They work well for oil or acrylic. I like the smoothness over canvas. They are an expensive and excellent board for painting on. I have purchased them repeatedly.

The 11x14 boards are excellent for my watercolor paintings & Illustrations. I just tape my watercolor paper on them and they hold up quite well. I'd warn any potential buyers to be wary of soaking these boards too much as they do tend to warp. If I do use to much water to the point of soaking I find drying them with some kind of weighted object on top can reverse the warping.Other than that little characteristic, these boards make excellent drawing boards and painting surfaces.

The product arrived and is what it is. No apparent damage or defects. I just want to say that, as a beginner woodworker, I thought I could use these to cut router templates on my laser cutter but the edges are too soft -- or not hard enough - to hold up being pressed against the router trim bit guide bearing. They were smushed. I had to switch to 1/4 inch maple plywood for that need.

I used these blocks to raise my heavy sewing machine table. They worked perfectly. The table has almost as many legs as there are these blocks. The couple I have left I will use in crafting. The wood is well finished and could easily be stained.

If you like a smooth surface right out of the wrapping then this mdf is the way to go. You do need to add Gesso or some form of paint to seal the surface so your paint doesnt absorb into the wood. It is great for using acrylic or oil markers as it wont get messed up as you draw. Unlike the canvas with its texture tends to catch the tip of the marker and do a micro splatter around the are you are drawing. Not to annoying but still something needing fixing.
