This was used on a project where 8020 extruded aluminum T-slot structures were used to build a stand. These T plates were used to join legs together for a stand. There are other methods to join struded members at a right angle, but this joint is super strong, yet lightweight.I have used these T plates before and they are easy to assemble. Because of the gusset plate design, this joint is stronger than other methods. I have used them in the past and will use them again in a similar application requiring a strong joint.

compared to other brands I bought previously, this brand has the best quality. No sharp corners, they are all well deburred. all the holes are also nice and clean for screws. It also has nice texture that could help grip better.
