These were affordable for my first try at blocking. The inch marks have really helped me block the 7x9" blocks I'm making for a Warm Up America! blanket. The mats came with some good T-pins, and the mats are thick enough so that the pins haven't gone all the way through very often. You have to use some care, of course, that you don't push them too far through. The mats are almost .75" thick (~17mm) and very sturdy. I'm pleased with this purchase!

These mats worked great for blocking my knitted and crocheted items. I took away one star because they’re confusing to put together while keeping the grid lines straight. The numbering system on both sides made no sense, especially when trying to combine two sets for larger area. There’s got to be a better way. I made it work through trial and error.

I don't like these ones as much as others that I own. They say they are 12" X 12" but that is only if you count the puzzle edges . If you want to block a 12" square of knitting, you must connect more than one mat. . They also only fit together in a certain way and direction. The other two sets that I have are12 1/2" so you have a true 12" square in which to use for blocking. Because of this, these new mats do not fit with my older ones. Not very happy with these.

These blocking mats are inferior quality. Although they are thick, the marks are faded. The smell is overwhelming - I could smell it as soon as I opened the cardboard box, then it nearly knocked me out when I opened the plastic carry case. In order to use them, they would have to sit outside for days because no way I would block an item on them. They interlock with another set I already have, but because they are thicker, it is not a seamless fit. I will be returning.

Comes with enough T pins, I wish there were numbered measurements but still works, I just use tape to remember the sizing.
