Ordered this on a note from someone that it's better then the ones that come with scratch art....100% worth the purchase. It comes with many useful tools I didn't think of but are so simple. Love the brush especially, when I'd wipe away excess it would end up cutting the paper and image due to my hand not being as gentle as the brush! The metal scraper is also a lot easier to maintain and control and no need for sharpening or anything else!

These are inexpensive scratchboard tools, if you want to give scratchboard a try these will work. The pen with nib, needle tool and brush are especially nice. The tools come in a nice fabric folding case. Some of the tools are suitable for graphite drawing, you can emboss before adding pencil or charcoal. Some of the tools are a little on the flimsy side but if you are a beginner this might be the set for you.

Honestly this is pretty great set of scratch art tools. It has a great variety of tips that allow for good control while making any texture. I wouldn't say this is a necessary set for casual scratchers, but if you buy the intricate kits these will change your entire experience. I was least impressed by the gold tipped plastic ones, but the other end of that same pen is a MUST have. The case is basic but convenient for keeping everything together.I do highly recommend using a small piece of fine sandpaper on the plastic tips when they first arrive. Refinishing the tips made the scratch so much smoother.Overall I am just so happy with this kit, especially for the price. I highly recommend it.

These are fantastic. They really let me do detailed work and offered a variety of effects. The half glove was a nice touch as it keeps my hands clean. My daughter likes to steal it when she does scratch art now too. The points have held up well and the roll is thick and can contain the sharp points when traveling without worry of them punching through and damaging other items in my bag.

I've only recently discovered scratch art that is more than just the little pages you might buy for your kid. I love the scratch art I've seen, especially when it's been water colored. I decided I'd give it a try.I think this set is pretty complete considering that I've not done much with scratch art. There seem to be a few different types of tips to use for different types of scratching.I like that it comes in a soft case and I like that you get a few extras like a black repair pen (I haven't tried) and a glove. I'm finding that the biggest problem I have is having the scratched off portion gets under my hand then scratches at the rest of the drawing. The brush and the glove seem to help this.

The set is cheap plastic, but the price matches and the tools do what they're supposed to do. I'm using mine with carbon paper to trace out designs for my wood burning projects.
