Worked great way or dry. We used it to remove 7 layers of paint from 1,500sf concrete. Took awhile, but worked great

If you are considering a DIY coating removal and can withstand some serious mess this is the tool for you.I have now cleared some 30,000 square feet with these tools and found huge variations in effectiveness. We found chemical solvents too expensive for the success they provided, and we tried plenty of other tools and methods. Glue removal largely depends on the glue used, and over 4 facilities I've experienced probiably 9 glues that all responded differently. In general letting the floor soak overnight or applying water consistently for several hours before starting helps loosen the glue if it is water soluble. We also found that with most glues exchanging the water as frequently as possible made the fastest progress, but some glues were removed quicker when working with a thick slurry of the muck. The other big tip we thankfully work at a Thrift Store, but go to a thrift store and buy a carpet cleaner vacuum (ask if you don't see one on the sales floor because they are hard to test) we found that these carpet cleaners are not perfect on concrete but its stunningly better than a shopvac at removing the fine grit that becomes a dust once the floor dries.
