I was doubtful that it would stop the scratching that was going on, but it did! It worked great!I would highly recommend it. Pulling a trailer with anti-sway bars is very worry sum. And this stoops the noise.Would buy it again at this price, which is well worth the price! Will buy more than one set.

Since we bought our camper last year, we've turned heads every time we've entered a campground. But for all the wrong reasons. Our Equal-i-zer hitch popped, creaked, and groaned every time we hit a bump or made a sharp turn. As we drove through the campground to our site, everyone we passed stopped what they were doing to see what was causing all the noise. My initial research (both online and in talking to other campers) implied that the noise is normal, and is a by-product of the weight-distribution and sway control features of the Equal-i-zer hitch. But all that noise sounded anything but normal, so I kept looking for a solution to this noisy problem. Finally I found mention of the Equal-i-zer Sway Bracket Jackets. These fit over the brackets where the sway tension bars rest. The friction of the sway tension bars against the bracket helps reduce sway as you are towing your trailer. Before installing the jackets, the friction was metal on metal, so this produced a lot of the noise I was hearing. After installing the jackets, the friction is now metal on nylon, which is much quieter. When towing with the jackets installed, I noticed absolutely no reduction in sway control. The only thing I noticed is that towing my camper is now a much, much quieter experience! This past weekend when we drove through the campground, no one even noticed we were there.Unfortunately I can't in all honesty give full credit to the Sway Bracket Jackets for quieting my hitch. I also purchased Equal-i-zer's hitch lubricant, and applied that to the ball, hitch head, and tops and bottoms of the sway tension bar sockets. While I'm sure that the bracket jackets alone will reduce the noise your hitch may be making, I don't think they will eliminate all the pops and creaks. You'll need the lubricant as well. However, I still consider this a great product and a great purchase, and I would without hesitation buy them again if needed.

Does exactly what it says it does. Wish it came standard with the Equal-i-zer rather than make me notice the noise when turning and have to Google ways to manage it but, whatever. It works!

No more metal on metal. Easy to install and remove when not in use. Helped to reduce noise from weight distribution bars from rubbing against metal L bracket on tongue of trailer.

So-they do work on my Equal-i-zer hitch system. I tow a smaller (21ft/4000lb) camper. But-when properly aligned, they fit well and seem to reduce the slapping/grinding/popping noises of camper movement. If the noise really concerns you when backing up multiple times and angles into the perfect spot, might be best to remove the Equal-i-zer's stabilizer bars. That helps. But-I've left these spacers in place and they haven't been torn up, destroyed or damaged. Been in use for over a year, more than 3-months on the road for the summer camping trip.
