Like: metal construction, smaller size, lighter weight, high vis line. Don't like "swivel" on the end because the loop was not big enough to get around my (coiled up) surface marker buoy.

It’s aluminum so I don’t have to worry about rust or corrosion and it is very visible and easy to hold.

Very lightweight metal/alloy reel with high quality braided flat line. Much nicer than the plastic real and “string†that came with me DSMB. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a lightweight versatile wreck or DBMB spool.

About as compact of a finger reel as there is. Line is small diameter and flat profiled, which is very abrasive when a fast moving SMB is pulling line. Fortunately this line isn't all that susceptible to twist, thanks to the end swivel.

Solid lightweight reel for general diving purposes. Hi viz line is easier to see than white. Comes with a double dog collar clip.

This is a nice looking, lightweight reel at a good price. I had to take about 30 feet off of the reel to make enough room to fit the bolt snap through comfortably but I only needed 60 feet of line anyway.Buyer Beware: The problem is that if you plan to feed the line through any of the side holes to stow the reel, the edges of the holes are not beveled AT ALL, and the sharp edge immediately cut the line (see picture). This is a serious safety hazard as a frayed or semi-cut line could break when in use underwater.I'm not sure I will be able to return this as I've already trimmed the line to my desired length.*Update: The seller, Rejoye, initiated a full refund for my purchase. Good customer service from Rejoye.

As with all reels, you need to remove a minimum of 40ft to make this functional. Plus, the reel is so small, that you have to be very careful when rolling it up or it won't wind evenly. Another problem is the loop in the end is too small to get the spool through when tying off to DSMB. If you want a tiny reel with maximum feet of 50-60 ft, and willing to make multiple modifications, then this reel would be ok. If not, pay the extra for an APEKS reel, you won't be sorry.

If you're using this for diving, I highly highly recommend you soak, unspool, and respool the line. This is a common practice for me and this particular batch proved my efforts wise. Out of the three spools I received, one line completely detached from the spool. Imagine if you're cave or wreck diving in a no vis situation and that happened. You'd likely die. Take my advice. It only takes 10 minutes. To the manufacturer, use better knots and tie them WET. You dont need the whole spool to be wet, just the knot when tightening.
