I bought this setup to repair a CV boot clamp that had broken. The clamp went on easy although you'll need to wrap the extra strap material around inside of itself to take up the difference. The tool also worked well although a little small in the handle. It worked well and keeps the boot in place again. For the price and quality, I think this is hard to beat if you don't need a huge kit for the occasional repair. I highly recommend it.

Good product. I used it on a dish washer pump motor that the clamps were discontinued for on a GE dishwasher. And the clamps I could find they wouldn’t sell just one you had to buy packs of 100 for like $70.00!!! These fit perfect and the pliers seem to be decent quality for what they are.

I was unsure if the crimping pliers would work well. They do. smaller Metal bands fit around driveshaft slip yoke boot on 2000 ford ranger 4x4. Larger seems to fit cv boots or could be trimmed down to fit a smaller diameter. Overall works well, great for the price.

These are really what you want and need and should use for boots. Used to use plastic zip ties pulled with a pair of pliers and have seen slight leakage over time. NO LEAKAGE using these.Also, these specialized pliers are great for taking off hose clamps that love making pliers slip off.
