Not rocket science. You need this type of socket to easily remove that defective leaky sending unit.Yeah, I know one "can" use vise grips, or pliers and maybe get the old unit out. Heck, you can probably take a hammer and bust the old one off at the nub and then use a drill and an extractor bit to get the remaining threaded portion out. There are lots of ways to get a Sending Unit out.IMO, there is one RIGHT way. That is use a correctly profiled oil pressure sending unit socket. So don't argue with me or with yourself. Just order it. It works. It makes the job easy and fast. It is sufficiently well made to last for all the sending units you're likely to replace as a typical DIY guy. IMO this particular one is good enough to go in the hidden drawer of shameful but useful tools that we professional mechanics inevitably have somewhere in our box. At least, we who like to keep our fancy tools out front where folks can see them...hahaSo, if you want Snap-On to continue to thrive, and you want to keep getting those awesome Snap-On freebies and calendars and decals and stuff, AND you replace leaking sending units on a monthly basis, then sure - buy the Snap-On version. If you just need a sending unit socket about once every five or ten years, this is a fine choice.Five stars. No issues. Arrived fast. Got it done. Fit exactly and snug. No slop.

Changed the oil pressure sensor on my 07 GMC Yukon which is located on the back of the engine. Even though it was a tight space, it worked to replace it

The socket was a little snug and had to be pressed in. Other than that it worked perfect for removing and installing oil pressure sensor.

This specialty socket will fit replacement part 5149062AA (AB) & will work just fine to replace the part. What you may find difficulty with, is it may not fit the factory installed oil pressure sensor in a 06 300C 5.7L. Every Mopar & aftermarket replacement part I could find, all had the same "rounded" six point hexagon 27mm socket fitting. The factory installed part in my car, had a common "angular" six point hexagon 27mm socket fitting. "This specialty 1 &1/16(27mm) deep well socket, is an exact fit for the replacement part". When removing the factory part, I found this specialty socket wouldn't fit. To remove the factory part, I found a 12point deep well 27mm socket was a good fit.

The socket is only wide enough internally for 3/4" of it's length, then it narrows so the sender does not fit. They claim the internal length is 2 5/8" but it's less than 2 1/4" so even if the internal width went all the way to the end it would not have been long enough for my sender.

Worked great much cheaper than buying at an auto parts store
