Great product. I have ordered 12 sqft more since it comes in a bunch. The tiles were damaged. The edges were messed up. I am not going to play the "send us back" game. I have no time for that. Gonna caulk I guess the damaged edges and paint the thing over. The product is great and easy to install Amazon should hire people who actually give a damn!

I have never taken a picture for a review, but feel people need to be aware if they want to paint these tiles. I read most of the reviews before I ordered these tiles. I live in a rental that the landlord doesn't like to spend money on "cosmetic" repairs, so I try to find affordable solutions. The popcorn ceiling is peeling off in my bathroom, so I go on the search for my affordable options. I thought, "Eureka!" when I found these tiles.They are very light. They came in perfect condition and arrived before the time listed on the order. The tiles look more like the cellophane wrap people use to pack, but thicker. The color is almost translucent. So, unless you want your ceiling to look like you have covered it in cellophane, painting is a must. I read the directions sent with the tiles- no mention on how to paint except paint once you have installed. I went on the website- no mention of how to paint or what to use. Being that I don't want extra work, I decided to test 2 tiles. The first tile image I used high quality spray paint - pock marks. The second tile image I used kilz, allowed to dry overnight and then regular wall paint- pock marks. I am very, very unhappy. However, I am happy I did not waste my time and money installing the tiles, painting them, pock marks happening, then I'm stuck figuring out how to fix.I now am going to store these until some amazing craft comes to mind or use them as insulation in a small utility closet that is unfinished.UPDATE: I tried Apple Barrel craft paint with a little water added. Worked great- no pock marks. I'm not sure the difference since the wall paint I used is water based. I just bought another pack to replace the messed up tiles.

Great product...light easy to work with looks great...you will want to paint it or it will look like foam on the ceiling. i used ceiling paintShame on amazon I bought 2 packages of this for my master bath for $31.92 per pkg. today went back to buy 3 more for guest bath and price is over $40...I will buy the rest from Home Depot. Terribly disappointed in Amazon

The only place it said it's styrofoam is in the section on how to install it. Unfortunately, I didn't read that part because I don't need help with installation. I'm going to try painting them to see if that looks any better. As they are, they look like a bunch of flattened styrofoam coffee cups tacked to the ceiling.

These tiles were great and easy to install. However one packet that I received had damaged tiles- 3 sides were damaged. Made it tricky to try and use it. And I did not have time to reorder.

Ce n'est ni plus ni moins que du styromousse compressé, exactement comme un verre a café, même épaisseur. Idéal pour le plafond d'une salle de bain! Je ne l'ai pas encore installé, il en manque, mais ce sera facile à installer vue sa légèreté. A suivre...
