The controls are intuitive, and I had no trouble navigating the settings right out of the box. The included app makes it easy to review and manage footage, providing a seamless experience.**Battery Life:** The battery life is remarkable. It lasts through my entire shift without needing a recharge, which is crucial for extended use. The standby time is also excellent, ensuring the camera is always ready when needed.**Durability:** This body camera is built to last. It's rugged and waterproof, handling all kinds of weather and rough conditions without any issues. The compact design ensures that the camera can be worn comfortably for extended periods without hindering movement. It Usually features simple button controls for quick start/stop recording functionality. Generally priced more reasonably compared to more professional body cameras, making it a good option for casual or entry-level users. When in good lighting conditions, the video and audio quality are typically quite clear, offering useful documentation for any situation. Typically offers a few hours of continuous recording, with rechargeable batteries that may last anywhere from 6 to 12 hours depending on the model. This camera functions really well and I love it.

I bought this to serve as a standalone rechargeable security cam, independent of Wi-Fi, that I could set up to record during the day and check at the end of the day. Seems to serve that purpose well.Pros:1. Does not use Wi-Fi. It saves images and video on a mini-SD card that is included. Exactly what I was looking for.2. It is tiny and easily concealable around other objects. Smaller than any trail cam.3. The camera lens rotates, giving additional options for positioning. The motion detection seems to be connected to the lens, which makes tucking away the majority of the device easier.4. Useful clip. I use it to clip the camera to an open box.5. Much cheaper than a GoPro. They are different products for different purposes. If you do not need all the fancy features of a GoPro, save some money and get something like this.6. Motion detection works well, and saves battery life.Cons:1. Operating the device is not entirely intuitive. The video on the main product page and a few minutes of trial and error helped.2. It cannot record video without recording sound. Sound is picked up on all video recordings. Laws vary from state to state, and many states prohibit voice recordings unless both parties consent. This will limit where and how I can record video.3. It gets very hot while charging, which might not be great for longevity. All in all, I find this to be a useful device for peace of mind.

I work in delivery services and for my safety I needed a body camera. The video quality is very good, as is the audio. It is very easy to use. I highly recommend it.

So right out of the gate I will be stating the following:I really dig this camera and was vary disappointed when it came time to look at my pictures.. With all of this cameras potential waisted on a cheap sensor that ruined the overall grade of my review. I find it perplexing that all the effort put into the design and overall experience. Is overshadowed buy poor decisions and a lack of refinement ware it counts the most. 3.7 out of 5. This said, for those looking for a casual device that can be a fun way to share stills and video. With family, friends and social media. Then this might be the right tool for the job. If overall picture quality doesn't matter to you.The build 4 out of 5:This camera is built for mid to low level use, It offers a fully waterproof body up to IPX6. It features a fully air tight enclosure including the lenses and screens. The buttons are well placed and easy to navigate once learned. All toggles feature a good click feel. But the main trigger is a bit loose and even a small bump can cause false triggering of pictures or videos. This model boasts an integrated LED Flash+ flashlight. Yet isn't vary useful unless you are close to the subject. It also adds a blueish hue to most pictures. With poor CRI, it will create false and dingy colours. That look flat with no vibrancy. There is a 2200Mah battery that can be charged within the main body. The swivel camera:You can rotate the camera head 180 degrees, from top to bottom. Effectively turning the screen towards or away from you depending on what you'd prefer. It also allows you to shoulder mount the camera and shoot forwards and backwards ( ahead or behind ) if you need to do so.The screen 3.5 out of 5:With a 1.3-inch rear screen this camera offers good display brightness but has a narrow viewing angle Before colours and brightness become muted. The screen also lacks in resolution and vibrancy. The sensor+picture quality 2.5 out of 5:This sensor says 1080p but the picture quality looks more like a 720p with overall softer and muddier appearance in pixels and sharpness. It looks like 720p footage from an iPhone 3... So it really lacks refinement. Even the sensors overall noise is higher then expected. This includes in brighter APL scenes that should lower the cameras internal Iso. But they still exhibit noisy shadows and extremely blown out highlights. The camera can't render any type of HDR correctly. It will try but struggles to find a bracketing point. The white balance is another issue, Just like the dynamic range. It can't find the proper balance always fluctuating from cool to warm.Colour rendition 3.5 out of 5:Another soft point of this sensor is the internal colour science. Nothing looks right from the overall poor rendition of the primary colours. To how they mix in the GPU. Skin tones look orange or blue, colour clips and has banding issues when going from dark to light. It really is a hot mess that hampers the potential for greatness.Final thoughts: 3.5 out of 5This camera has many great things going for it and it pains me to give it such a low grade. But I need to be real and bring you guys the truth. This is a fantastic overall product that really suffers from a poor sensor and colour science. It detracts from the rest of this models greatness. Even the colour choices for the main body a nice muted black with subtle refractive coating looks great. The buttons feel good, screens, ease of use, good battery life rugged, flexible and compact. This unit could have been a highly recommended product. Sadly it cannot live up to it's full potential. But if you don't care about overall professional level pictures or videos. Then this is a great product that will bring you hours of enjoyment and enhance you're vacation. Buy allowing you to show more candid content to you're family and friends.

This is very handy to have if you've ever thought about getting a body cam. It's like a dash cam for your car but rather for when you are walking. The camera is quite small and unobtrusive, fitting in the palm of your hand. It comes with a lanyard hole for the supplied carry strap. I would have thought that an actual neck strap lanyard would have been more practical but it does have a good sized rear clip which you can easily use to put the camera in a shirt front pocket. There are buttons on both sides of the device but really, the only pertinent one needed in a crunch is the video record button which is clearly marked with a red dot on it. There is also a separate audio record button but that one has been safely placed on the other side of the unit, in the same location at the top but without the red dot so there is no mixing them up.The unit comes with a pre-installed 64GB micro SD card (TF). The only important thing to remember is that you must format it on the device, not your computer. Once you do this and set your date and time in the menu (clearly denoted by an "m" on the device), you are ready to record. The device comes with two separate manuals, one in English and another in French. It would have been nice to have this manual in a booklet form for easier reference but unfortunately, it is in a foldable pamphlet form. There are QR codes provided to get digital versions of the manual in five languages. It is nice to be able to have a digital version in case of loss of the paper one. QR codes are also provided for two You Tube videos, one on setting the time and date and the other for a visual on how to use the body camera, all very helpful. So the screen on the unit is very small and you will want to wait until you can hook up your camera to view your video files on a computer for proper viewing. The device can also take photos but it is not recommended. Also, not recommended is night time video as results will not be ideal.Charging time for the unit is three hours but the unit arrives with a good charge in it already. Two cables are included, a USB-C to USB-A and USB-C to USB-C so this is great whether you have an older computer or a newer one.One really nice feature is that the camera lens swivels 180 degrees which means for example that you can film something to your right without having to have the camera actually facing what you are recording. There are a lot of settings that can be changed in the menu to suit your specific needs. Some might even appreciate the fact that the device will accommodate a 1/4 inch fixed bracket or tripod if you want to use a stand which will thread into the socket.Overall, this is a great camera and something that can be extremely useful in recording anything from human interaction to encounters in the wild while on a hike. I would definitely recommend it. There may be a thing or two you might not like but it does serve its purpose and when you get it, it is ready to go after making a few settings.

The Hoestr 128GB Body Camera impresses with its compact and user-friendly design, making it a practical choice for anyone needing portable video and audio recording. Its 180° rotatable lens allows for flexible angle adjustments, and the upgraded back clip makes it easy to securely hook onto clothes, keeping it discreet and hands-free. Another standout feature is the included 128GB memory card—a huge plus for capturing extended footage without needing to swap cards or worry about space.Honestly it's worth it just for the size of the SD card. That thing is a powerhouse.

I was really hoping this would provide a decent means to video any number of daily activities, like walking the dogs and capturing their goofing off, but after working with it for a couple of weeks, I find it disappointing. In the past, I have had the opportunity to use real body cams, and when I do any comparison, this is lacking and frustrating. The small size was one of the things that attracted me to this.✓ Good Stuff► It does provide ok video on a bright day but anything short of a sunny day produces grainy recordings. Even when selecting 4K in the menu, the result is grainy video.► The manual offers QR codes to scan, which link to YouTube videos for setting the time, language, and general setup/use.► The battery provides for a good number of hours of service between charges.► The small form factor allows it to be tucked into a shirt pocket.► USB C charging when the battery is dead is completed within a few hours.► Being able to swivel the lens 180 degrees is a good thing.► It's nice to have the clip and 1/4 inch mounting options, but the clip is weak, and unless the material it is slipped over is thick (like a jacket), the camera easily slips out of a pocket when running or bending over to pick up one of the dog's toys. The clip doesn't even touch the camera's back; at rest, it has a good 3 mm of space. The included TF card (64 GB) doesn't even have a brand name on it, not something I would want to depend on.✘ On the downside» The manual is anything but easy to follow. It's not laid out very well. It also isn't written in a logical layout, but at least it's in real English, other languages are in a second sheet.» Trying to enter the settings screen is a pain. Once in the options, there really isn't a lot that can be selected and changed.» The buttons used to control the camera and set various options are a royal pain.» The "Play" button is actually what needs to be pressed in order to power it on and off; however, it is supper sensitive and too easy to press when not wanted. Just taking hold of the camera generally turns it on, and then it starts auto-recording, burning up TF card space. There is no way to lock the button. The best you can do is switch from "Video" to "Save," and when the play button gets pressed at that point, it doesn't record, but the camera still powers on, using up battery capacity.» Audio is thin and hard to make out. The microphone is behind a tiny hole located at the bottom, near the USB charging port. When this is tucked into a pocket (which helps keep it from falling off), the audio is even more muffled.» Only FAT32 formatting is allowed on the TF card, whereas others have allowed for FAT32 and exFAT, a more common format these days. The system has no stabilization, which means the video bounces all over the place if you use this while jogging. Most phones today produce far better video. The biggest problems are the pixilation, confusing button layout, and a clip that doesn't keep the camera from sliding out of a pocket or off of a strap.Given the low price, this is one of those you get what you pay for items.
