Your cart is empty.HDPE complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 when used unmodified for the manufacture of food contact articles. HDPE has various applications for use in medical products and devices. It has excellent resistance to chemicals, but exhibits lower thermal resistance than other materials. It is a softer material than nylon or polypropylene and much softer than Kynar.

The package says Eldon James A4-6HDPE "Adapter with 1/4" NPT Thread x 3/8" Barb in High Density Polyethylene", but the threaded male part is actually 3/8" NPT with an external measurement of .6120 inches. In the Eldon James catalog this would be part number A6-6HDPE, not A4-6HDPE. Someone screwed up when they repackaged these.

Only one barb that goes into the 3/8 tube, not enough tension with pipe clamps to hold and prevent leaks over 40psi..
