It has excellent resistance to chemicals, but exhibits lower thermal resistance than other materials. It is a softer material than nylon or polypropylene and much softer than Kynar.

Great product, but the ID is 1/4â€. A 1/4†tube will not fit on the barbed end.

I used these to build a DIY cornelius keg washer. Combined with a stainless steel Tee, these allow you to connect both ball (or pin) locks to the main washer tube and clean both dip tubes and posts while the CIP sprayball is cleaning the inside of the keg.

The barbed will not fit HDPE (fairly rigid) tubing. It will fit vinyl tubing if you first heat it in boiling water to simultaneously soften it up and lubricate it, and then jam it onto the barbed fitting fast. I wouldn't advertise this as 1/4" barbed because it won't fit a variety of tubing materials of this size.

I buy these same 1/2 mpt to 1/4 in barb fitting at my local hardwere store that fit my sap lines fine , I bought the same size from amazon and the barbend is to small and the soft plastic falls off

Good fittings. Local home depot has these for $4 something each. I paid 8 for 10. No brainier.

Doesn’t fit irrigation tubing, not even close. Maybe it’s made for 1/4†inner diameter hose but even that seems like a struggle to push it on because the most narrow part is still a little larger than 1/4â€

there is no way that you would be able to use these with 1/4 inch tubing, i have even heated the tubing with no luck
