The colors are darker in person but other than that the rug is as expected. The hook that comes with the kit is uncomfortable to hold for any length of time, thankfully I had another one I could use.

This is fine for a kid who likes to craft, but unless I purchase additional edging it will not look as advertised. My mesh is edged in white with black stitching not the neutral shown in the picture. The tool is very cheap, dollar store quality, the yarn unravels easily.

Pros - the pattern is pretty and I like that the piece is already hemmed and lined for you.Cons - the yarn is cheap and the tool they send with the kit is garbage. I threw it away and bought better latch hooks. I personally feel that $27 is very overpriced considering the overall lack of quality.Meh - It would be nice if they used the same system for labeling the guide and the yarn. The yarn is numbered and the pattern guide uses letters. With my particular pattern this isn't as big of a deal but with more intricate designs I can imagine this makes it much more confusing than it needs to be than if they just used the same method of labeling for everything.

This is way smaller than it appears in the picture, not to mention it was almost a month before I finally received it. I had no idea it was coming from China. Waiting now for a couple days for the seller to give me a return label.
