I have had this for 6 months now and use it to charge my paperwhite at least once a week. It charges my older paperwhite from 2015 and my newer one which was purchased in 2017 but replaced under warranty in 2019 (I dropped a non waterproof version in the tub).My original official USB cord and adapter did not easily connect to the paperwhite and I would discover it did not always charge. Most recently, I had to jiggle it into just the right position to charge my paperwhite. Thankfully, it appears that this adapter with usb cord resolves that problem. I plug it in and it charges every time. It also charges my kindle tablet and my old paperwhite. Unlike Amazon's official adapter, this one comes with the mini usb cord. It is a 10 watt as opposed to Amazon's 5 watt, and it states that it charges at whatever rate the device can accept. It appears to charge my devices quickly as compared to the prior adapter. I have not had any problems with it. When I need another one, I will buy this product again. Lesser price, better quality. And, I can get it in white so I know which one is the kindle charger without having to look closely at all my adapters/cords.

This is an ‘extra’ charger to keep in my travel bag. It works great.

did not fit 11th Generation Paperwhite Kindle. Sent back same day ,received credit immediately . Gave 5 stars as I had to give it a rating to give review, did not use.

All these years later this charger cord is better than the original ever was -- it connects well rather than being iffy and charges easily -- the original was always a guess as to whether it would just stop charging due to iffy fit. Happ with it and glad to get it while one is still available for 3rd gen!

Have not traveled with this item. Feel the 5ft length was too short for the intended site.

I purchased this item to replace the charging cord I received with the very first Kindle I ordered years ago which started to show wear. I am now on my third Kindle and the cords that accompanied Kindle #2 and Kindle #3 are perfectly fine, but they are not long enough in my estimation. The cord I just purchased from this manufacturer fits my current Kindle perfectly and is sufficiently long for my purposes. I am very happy with the purchase.

It's reported on here that it will fit the Kindle 3rd Generation with the white backlight. The original charger would need to be pushed in all the way with a sort of click, before it would begin charging. This charger does not charge it. So if you're looking for a replacement charger for this type of Kindle, it will not work.

I was given the Kindle Paperwhite for my birthday, and I love downloading ebooks and browsing all its features. However, the charger that came with it was very short, about six inches, with no wall outlet attachment. It was very frustrating.But this charger has a five foot cord, plus a wall attachment. It works great, and I can take it with me wherever I go. It's the first accessory you should buy for your Paperwhite.
