I use it to drive a relay. It senses current in the one appliance at something less than 0.5 amps and then drives the relay to switch so I can control 12 amps. I'm also using it to switch a vent fan that draws 0.5 amps. But it hasn't been on long enough to know it there is an issue running near the rating.

Used it to open my projector's enclosure when it is turning on. it detects the current on the live phase and pulls a relay that drives the motors. It does a great job so far.

Failed the second day. Won't shut off. I'm an electrician.

... it took too long to figure out how to set it up. Poor directions.

This is the only switch of this type ive attempted to use so far, so if they are all like this somebody tell me before i waste my time buying another one, but.. the setpointisnot a point at all, its a huge window. The way it works feels more like a ‘latching relay’ than a switch. The current has to drop far, FAR below where the switch activated, in order to evershut off again. Doesn’t seem consistent either.

I was worried about adjusting the sensitivity, but it worked as needed right out of the box.
