I bought this for my New Braunfels smoker on the firebox because I was losing heat and smoke from a lid that was not to sealing correctly. They are larger and more durable it looks like because I got it on the firebox lid. I installed and it seems to work fine I like the heavy-duty. Seems to work looks like they will hold up we'll see in about 6 months but so far so good. Oh by the way it does not come with the bolts to attach it to the smoker you have to buy them separately.

I did a project for a local company, I built a large stainless steel duct box with lids, I used these latches for the closures. I am impressed with how easy they were to install, they were easy to adjust as I welded these on. There were 4 doors and I used 18 of these latches. The customer loved them.

I haven't had them long but I did get a chance to try and clamp a few different pieces of wood to test the clamping force and it was great. Clamped on really tight and held the wood in place
