Ran this in aluminum to spot and chamfer for a bit but as soon as I tried to spot steel the tip broke. I was running it at proper speeds and feeds, conservatively actually and still broke the tip. It spotted still but had a dome in the center where the tip was lol. If you are ganna use this in aluminum, copper, brass, exc then it will do the job but nothing harder really. And the coating it has is exactly geared towards those metals anyway...

I have not used this tool. Home shop as a hobby, a 60 degree angle cutter is not an often used tool.4 facet grinding on each of two flutes on cutting edge.Overall length is 2 1/2" (63.5mm)Surface of cutter is not marked with a file for hardness check.

I can't speak the the durability of the tip when used as a center drill, but I've been cutting some very clean chamfers with this endmill. No complaints.
