So I see where others are saying that this isn't working on their scissors.If directions are read and followed, I promise, it's going to work unless you've dulled your scissors beyond all hope.My husband likes to cut everything with my scissors, even though I've told him what it can do to them. I've even had to hide my fabric scissors from him.I left a cheap pair in the kitchen for him to try cutting things. They got super dull, super fast.Today, I decided to try this shear sharpener on them and I wasn't expecting a whole lot.To my surprise, they are sharp again - but you have to read and follow directions.It's not like a knife sharpener, where you put the blade perfectly vertical.You have to angle the scissor blade so it lies flat against the sharpener- or it's not going to work and, will more than likely ruin your scissors, if done incorrectly.I'm happy with my purchase and am glad that I won't have to keep buying new scissors as often.

This is so convenient. I use it to sharpen kitchen scissors. I also have the knife sharpener. It really works.

I’ve been a fan of these guys’ knife sharpeners for a while for idiot-proof touch-up sharpening. The scissor ones also definitely helped restore a couple pairs we were about to throw out. But be aware it’s a little more of a freehand operation than the knife version—up to you to maintain the proper angle as you use. But with a little practice, does the job.

I opened this package as soon as I received it and after watching the video (before purchasing) I was able to sharpen 5 pairs of scissors in under 10 minutes. Some of my better scissors are back to cutting like butter. I feel like anyone who has dulled their scissors with this tool used it flat against the edge rather than angled up toward the sharp edge… I can’t imagine it not being user error.

Did not work no matter what I did. Actually damaged the scissors so they wouldn’t even cut paper much less thread or fabric. Ended up taking scissors to a sharpener shop. Sorry to have missed the return window.

I can't get over how easy and effective this little device is! I hunted for a long time to find something that actually worked to sharpen scissors...everything from folded aluminum foil to the little angled cutting sharpeners. NOTHING sharpened the scissors and I was resigned to just constantly throwing out the scissors when they became dull and buying new.I'm so happy I did one more search and found these bad boys. A couple of quick swipes and my scissors are so sharp I don't even need to close them to cut paper!My faith in humanity has been restored...for now....

I have had a positive experience with the AccuSharp ShearSharp Scissors Sharpener. It works well for general-purpose scissors, hedge clippers, and tin snips. Holding it at the correct angle is crucial for achieving a smoother edge. While it struggles with gaffer tape, it performs admirably on other materials. Replacement blades aren’t available, but the reversible sides extend its lifespan. It’s interesting how technology has advanced in other areas, yet perfect scissor and knife sharpening at an affordable price remains a challenge
