I was green and starting at a job shop where they still used only cemented carbide. This was a good investment. The size is very capable for taking .100 of cold rolled. Great starting set, great set for experienced as well. And great value for price. Only downside was the partoff inserts are hard to find and expensive

Accusize has quickly delivered every product we have ordered for our metal lathe and milling machine. Very high quality and dependable. I would have no hesitation about using Accusize again.

The tools are great, and covers 90% of what I do. However, the GTN3 parting inserts really leave something to be desired. They are more delicate than others I have used and the cutting edge can chip unexpectedly when parting hardened steels. Overall, I would definitely recommend this set.

Everything Accusize that I've ever ordered has been very good quality and works very well, these lathe tools included.

Holders seem to be sturdy enough. The inserts are ok but what do you expect for the price. I'll buy a set of good inserts and they will work great.

Great cutters. I will be purchasing more accusize tools. My friends liked their performance so much, they are ordering then for their shops as well.

This set does not come with quality carbide bits. And be careful of the WCMT holder that it contains. Here is why: The bit holders themselves are great, but the bits are made with low standards and require more torque from your machine to cut. Also, the chip breaker design of the bits is too shallow to chip the metal curls properly. I ended up with horrible curls that ruined the surface finish no matter the feed and speed. Those kinds of curls are also hard to clean up. Another issue with the low-quality carbide bits is that they wear down easily. In only one small mild steel project, the carbide bit wore down by 1/32 of an inch. Easy fix: buy replacement bits from higher end brands. I got a few sets of Iscar bits and they worked fantastic. However, the big problem is when you need bits for the WCMT bit holder. It is hard to find quality WCMT bits. You are stuck with buying Accusize carbide WCMT bits and continue with the low quality or pay significantly for the better WCMT bits. WCMT bits only have three cutting edges (if you are not using the middle three sides); therefore, the per cutting edge price is higher on these than the quality brand bits. I must now purchase a proper holder for trigon bits if I am going to use quality bits. You are better off with a WNMG bit and holder where you get double the cutting edges for the same price.

Haven’t used much yet (might be better to ask for a review 2 weeks after shipment rather than the day something arrives!) but they seem well made and work well. Nice case too.
