Despite not actually needing this product to solve my automotive problem I installed it anyway as I noticed some wear on my distributor gear. Easy to install and a noticable performance change from my worn gear. Excellent price for the quality of this item.

If you purchase one of these from GM dealership, retail is $65.00. The price on Amazon is a no brainer. It also comes with washers to tighten up the end play on the distributor shaft. This helps the timing stay closer than original.

This item does fit a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe contrary to what the listing says. When it is listed in another description costing $88.29 it shows to fit the Tahoe with a 5.7 V-8 engine.

This little kit right here saves you about $70 or so over the cost of an aftermarket distributor, that probably won't be as good as the OE body that is in there now. I got it, I beat the pin out, I replaced the thrust washer, but kept the flat washer that was in there PLUS added the new flat washer and then put the new gear on. I could seriously get twenty degrees or more (I stink at estimating those circle angle things) of rotation before by grabbing the rotor and pulling up. Now, maybe three or four. It's solid. P0300? Gaaaaawn!

I have a 2002 Chevy Astro and this fit perfectly! My momvan was sick, she needed surgery to fix she coded- P1345. Well, it could have been 4 or 5 different problems but I went with the GM forum and these guys said to stat with the distributor gear. My husband changed it and it works! The code he cleared and it did not come back on!! Thanks for a great product at a great price!

This GM SBC distributor drive gear did not have any product info that identified it's itended use. The shaft hole is way too small to fit the distrib shaft. I have dealt w/ these older style distributors for decades now & have yet to run across a skimpey shaft hole this size! The info for future customers should be MORE specific for it's intended use ie for distributor's 1955 to 1987?
