This works on 08 Tahoe on the front passenger side backing plate that was discontinued by GM.

I like that this was a direct OEM replacement part and that it bolted up just like the original. The problem with the original was that it came unpainted from the factory and this is still the case. Here in the rust belt unpainted parts rust and that is why I had to replace this. I did prime and paint this dust shield, so hopefully it will last longer than the original.

I sanded and painted before fitting. I'll never learn. This not a driver side shield. It will fit the passenger side if I ever need one.
