I bought this part for my 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT due to my wipers not working. I had the switch tested and confirmed it was the wiper motor. I figured with it all being all the org. Parts in my truck I just go ahead and replace the motor and linkage while I was at it. The job was simple about 1 hr to do and the part I bought here on Amazon was a god send the best price I was able to find anywhere and the part fit with no issues. I would highly recommend this part for anyone in need to replace there wiper motor/ linkage. This buy saved me

Replaced in a 2012 Silverado 3500. To remove cowl, just pop off left and right end covers, 4 screws, 2 on each end, 2 clips on the front, and 1 push pin at the center. We removed wiper arms, 15mm. Then disconnected washer tubing under drivers fender. Now you can slide the cowl and wipers between the hood and windshield. Remove the 3, 10mm bolts and partially remove the unit and flip upside down. Now a pair of pliers can squeeze the clip and remove connector. Reverse to install. Took about 20 minutes. Wipers work great now, no stopping, no dragging.

First one I received the cast end was broken. Amazon replaced it quickly .. second one was good. GM replacement part. Works great. Would have went 5 stars but the hassle of having to return the first one.

Replaced this on my daughter’s Tahoe. Went in pretty easily. Hardest part was getting wiper arms off. Otherwise literally plug and play. Daughter happy and now can drive safely in the rain, which makes dad happy!

The wipers on my truck wouldn't return to home - sounded like the motor or transmission was stuck. Rather than taking it to the shop and wasting money on their diagnostic abilities, I decided to just buy this part and replace it myself. I didn't care if it was the motor, transmission, or linkage that was the issue - I thought it was best and easiest to just replace it all. There are plenty of YouTube videos showing how to properly remove all the trim and the old assembly. I had it swapped out in about 1.5 hours or less. The part fit perfect and came very well protected. I'd recommend wearing automotive gloves to protect your hands from grease on the assembly and abrasions as you work. For my GMC, I needed 15mm, 10mm, and 7mm sockets, a flathead screwdriver, and a trim tool to remove the one plastic trim clip. Good luck!
