That little spring in the picture is supposed to snap into the end of the coil, and make electrical contact with the spark plug. I just assumed AC Delco would get this important component right, and pulled the original spring out of the first coil. It got all mangled on the way out, then flew away never to be seen again. So I grabbed a new one... and it wouldn't 'seat' in the coil. It looked different too, and not in a good way. I tried several, and finally got one to stay in place, but it was so crooked and sketchy that, even though it's working for now, I really don't trust it. I used the original springs in the other five.The rubber parts were perfect and the car has stopped setting OBDII misfire codes, so the main mission was accomplished, but this has dinged my trust in AC Delco.
