Perfect fit for a 1998 Chevy Express Van 1500. Had my mechanic install this particular part since I knew other parts needed replacing at the same time but worked perfectly. I was glad to replace it with something OEM the previous water pump lasted 160K miles so hopefully I’ll get another 160K out this one.

This water pump was a third of the price as the retail automotive stores were selling it for. I installed it on a 1998 Chevrolet C1500 with a 4.3l engine and it fit perfect. Despite other reviews, the product i received was a verified OEM AC Delco water pump. You can tell by the AC Delco box it came in and the stamping on the water pump. It came with the required gaskets needed for the installation. The gaskets supplied do not require any RTV sealant. The installation was fairly easy for any person with just a little mechanical aptitude. The only issue i had with the installation was getting the fan loose. I removed the radiator shroud for extra space and i went the extra step of removing the alternator for easier access to hose's. I was able to remove the fan by weaving a metal hangar through two holes in the pulley and wrapping it around the alternator bracket. I then used a crescent wrench and hit it with a rubber mallet. I tried the ratchet strap method and it just slipped around the pulleys. The hangar through the pulley holes was extremely simple and did not risk damaging other components of the pulley system. All in all it was fairly easy ans saved me a fortune. I was quoted $375 to have it repaired by a local mechanic.

Worked for my 2011 Silverado 4.3l V-6. Was kind of a pain to to start the 4 bolts with the gaskets on it but, I managed. Inexpensive insurance from premature failure at 171k on the odometer. Worth the trouble. Excellent product.

I bought this as it was easy cheaper than trying to buy from any automotive store. It seems to be great quality with no manufacturing defects I could find, came with the gaskets I needed and appeared overall like a good quality. Install was a pain as my fan was stuck on the old one but I made a tool to remove it using a air hammer bit and a crescent wrench welded together. So far there has been no leaks or problems from this for me. I would for sure buy this product again!

My old water pump began to make a winding sound like the bearing was going out. I replaced it before anything worse could happen. After ordering this ACDelco water pump from Amazon, the winding noise went away. I really liked that the pump fit perfectly and that it came with two gaskets. I received my water pump in a very good condition, it came with the two gaskets as shown in pictures. I'm a very happy customer, it was said to be delivered on 18 December 2024 but I received my pump on the 17 December 2024. I forgot to take pictures when I opened the box I only remembered after I have already installed in in my chevy.

Amazon says it doesn’t fit my truck … it fit and it’s on there and running fine and was actually a delco part for $118 bucks … very good … fix your fitmet, … 40 yrs as a mechanic is the only reason I figured it was the correct one for my truck
