This thing is so much nicer and higher quality than it looks in the site. I personally love the fact that the right hand page is staff lines and the left is regular wide ruled (this may bug some people) because it lets me make notes and write out changes. Awesome but.

Bought this for my 6yo son who is just beginning piano lessons. It's a bit over-the-top, but he loves having his own notebook JUST FOR piano. We use it only to communicate about lessons, so it's for him, his teacher, and his parents to write in about his assignments etc. He likes being able to "write music" on the staff paper, but is still learning to read notes. It should prove useful when he gets to that point, but in the meantime, his teacher or I can write out his lessons as needed. It's holding up well so far, and he loves that there's a place to keep his pencil right with his book. The built-in bookmark is a big sell as well. He is inspired, and what more can you want from a high quality notebook!

I lost my Peter Pauper music notebook and thought Id try something new and I am very impressed. I was hesitant at first because there weren't a lot of reviews, but the notebook actually is high quality, and is very stylish. It has a classic sand look, comes with a pen holder, and a small storage compartment in the back!

The only problem I have with the notebook is that the staves are spread pretty wide. This makes it hard to fit four measures of music on one staff, which is pretty much the norm for jazz notation. Overall quality of the product is great, just wish the staffs were a bit narrower. They also could have fit more staves on a page that way.

I purchased this journal as a gift for a friend, and thought it looked just as nice as I’d hoped! It was well-bound and the leather seemed to be of a good quality. The pages are a nice size for jotting down lyrics and tunes, and I liked the layout, with one side lined and the other manuscript paper on every pair of pages.

It’s a pretty good bang for your buck. Was a gift to a friend who’s a musician and she loved it. Good material and pretty durable. Totally worth it.

From the page on the web I assumed that this was a hard cover blank manuscript book but upon receiving it the book has a blank page, I assume for lyrics. It still a useful blank manuscript book with only half the pages suitable music.
