I bought this for my rog ally rog-chan and this thing does everything I needed. I ordered a 1tb microsd to find out that it didn't work on rog-chan so I order a different adapter for it to work but heat up so much so I went looking and found this. It is nearly 100% perfect for what I needed. Only small issues but that's fine like the wire needs to be a little longer since I taped it to rog-chan directly and then not to mention the adapter does stop reading for a bit when I do unplug the charger for her. Besides that and one other things this is like a perfect adapter.

Sd card reader is very quick on data transfer. I can use videos from my insta360 directly off the card with this reader and insta software. Also works great with my pixel phone to look at SD cards from my other cameras!

I purchased this because my laptop does not have a input for an SD card from my trail cam. It works great.

I had some trouble getting it to connect to most of my computers but I think it is a computer thing. Maybe my USB-C is output only or something. I have to insert it into a USB-C to USB-B adapter and then it works fine. Feels like a well built device and I have one computer it works in the regular way and it is blazing fast.

So I have tried multiple ways to hook a microsd(xc) card up to my pc, with very varying results in terms of speed. So far, this is by far the fastest reader I have come across, about 50% faster than the next one on the list, and as much as 6x faster than some others. A quick test with a large file gave me about 130-135MBPS write speed, which is close to the 140MBPS that the card is rated at. If you are impatient like me, GET THIS!

When I try to transfer files more often than not I get a memory error message and reader disconnects. The SD cards works fine with another card reader I have just fine. I also tested the port with other devices and it’s working fine too.Amazon wants the original packaging to send it back for a refund. I threw the packaging out when I got the item so I guess I eat this one. It’s not worth my time or energy to fight this for $23 so the only thing I can do to feel a little better about getting ripped off is to leave this review.

I bought this yesterday. The USB C cable does not hold in either of my Samsung devices (phone an tablet). I have no such problem with any of my charging cables, so it is a defect with the male connector on this ACER device. For the relative price and brand, I expected it to be perfect, so I've reorded it today. The risk is that it's the same batch. But I'll update or revise this review in a day or so.EDIT: I obtained a replacement. Fits and works perfectly. A solid, well-made piece of kit.
