I paired this with pupperoni for a whistle recall and it works a charm. I blow two short whistles and he comes running from literally anything, totally recommend.

I"ve been using the less expensive Acme 210.5 and decided to try the Alpha.. It is much easier to blow and can be a bit louder so I can work my Spaniels at greater distance. It really gets their attention when they are locked in chasing swimming ducks, (their worst of many bad habits), and on dry land their recall seems more energetic and focused, which potentially can be a true life saver. Because this whistle has a sharper clearer sound, they seem to pay better attention in all commands and we are both happier when they respond successfully. I recommend this for anyone who is looking to successfully train Spaniels.

Got this whistle to train my dog for an "emergency " come.There have been a few very scary times when we would be on a walk and she would see "her" stray cat friend. She gets REALLY excited to see her friend and if im not expecting it, she has gotten away from me a few times. When this happened she chases the cat wherever it goes and was not responding to the emergency voice cues. When she hears the whistle, she stops in her tracks and comes right back. It doesn't sound like much to my ear but it's been very effective with her.I watched YOUTUBE videos on how to use and train with the whistle..There was also a video that compared the sounds of the different models. I was able.to easily pick out the model that she responded best to.All in all very happy with this purchase. Great tool!!!.

I was a bit concerned that the picture showed 211 and not 210.5, but the correct 210.5 whistle did arrive.This whistle was recommended to me by a fellow springer hunter, and it works significantly better than the cheap browning whistle I previously purchased. The cost is up there, but I still cheaper than ordering directly from the manufacture with shipping from the UK.Since I can't physically whistle, I find myself grabbing this whistle anytime I take my dog somewhere off leash. It's great to give his whistle command and him come find me from anywhere in the field/farm/etc. I love this whistle so much I ordered a 2nd in a different color.

I guess the old school dog whistles are now seen as cruel. Don’t bother wasting your money on this. You will be disappointed.

Not super loud (that may be the point?), but seemed to go quite far and the dog responds to it so it does work. Well made and a lovely colour. No lanyard, so I had to buy one separately which was a shame.
