So got 02 BMW X5 d.side door wouldn't lock or unlock period. Found out that 1 piece was broken inside the mechanism. Bought this kit at a fraction of price on Ebay and had it installed and fixed in about 45min.

I ordered this kit and it seemed like an easy repair, which it should be but the holes in the parts are not large enough to fit over the rod so that they can seat properly. Going to have to do what others have done and file the opening.. which means a trip to the hardware store, which I was trying to avoid. BMW only offers the entire lock cylinder, so hardware store will be the lesser of two evils.

The most important piece, the one that brakes in the cylinder, had too small of a a hole. So I had to file it and make the whole just a bit larger so that it slides freely.

Went to install this on my car and immediately broke on install. Cheap metal do not recommend buying. Parts barely fit i had to really press them in to work. Terrible.

I got quoted 500$ by mechanic to replace my lock cylinder so I ordered this instead. Super cheap fix and all parts are high quality and perfect fit. Thank youuuu. Super easy to work on and you can find a lot of videos on YouTube on how to do it

Product feels like it’s made of a good material but the parts were obviously machined poorly, they don’t fit over the lock cylinder and I’m shopping for a new kit.
