Way better then I thought it would be and yes, it does the job. Self shut-off when the water drops to low, so the motor doesn't burn up.

I am a Central Florida resident with a large inground pool with a nice Gunite deck that slope to a sump pump by the corner of the house. My 10 year old 1/3 HP pump died two weeks ago and I replaced it with this model. No sooner did we get it in, then Hurricane Milton struck yesterday. We got OVER 14 inches of rain in under 14 hours. This little baby ran NON-STOP for almost 10 hours straight, only stopping when we had to unplug it and clear the debris vents. It probably pumped over 30K gallons without a hitch. Highly recommend.

The pump works as advertised. Put it in the water and plugged it in - water was gone quickly. It is very quiet as well. Great value and size is just right for us.

It's a great pump. Very effective. Sadly, the float is so long that it's difficult to use as a pump in tight spaces and the float catches in any 5 gallon pale from being too long.
