I used it to replace the rod that broke in my hot tub holding up a rubber drink and towel mat covering the spa’s filters.

I bought this rod to replace glass rod towel rack in our bathroom. very happy with size, clearness, glass lookalike. I used a 1 1/2 inch pipe cutter to cut it. bought it 6 in longer to experiment. first cut worked great.I taped with masking tape first to cut down on scratches and began to tighten screw. as i rolled around it got tighter, after a few turns it just popped. a great clear cut. I tried it again with same results. did my finish cut and again great, put it in the 70 year old end holders and it matches the others in the room perfectly. could not find glass to replace broken rod and you saved me, Thankshe roomttt

This 1†dia. shower grab bar is exactly what I wanted. The bushings that they are recommending for it are 7/8†dia. and will not fit. I am looking for two white plastic 1†bushings if anyone knows of any. Thanks.

I used this to make a nose cone for a model rocket. I can confirm what other reviewers said about the packaging being a bit sub-optimal for preventing scratches. It should have had some wrapping and then some filler in the shipping tube to both prevent it being scratched and from rattling around in the round shipping sleeve. However, the scratches on mine were VERY minor. In fact, most of what appeared to be scratches, was really just lint/dirt/dust that appeared magnified through the clear plastic. A quick wash with water got rid of most of it.Others have mentioned material quality issues. Mine had no voids or chips. When I ground it down to the shape I wanted for the rocket, and then polished it to a smooth finish, it was obvious how consistent the material was. No bubbles or voids at all. (not to brag, but it looked awesome)Finally, the sticker. Yeah, it's the type where the glue is stronger than the paper and getting it off without leaving a sticky mess would be a pain. I didn't particularly care or try to get it off since I was grinding it down, but the Simple Green suggestion in another review seems worth a try for those who do care.

My carpenter husband uses as the towel bar in custom made wood holders. What is nice is that the are very sturdy and do not absorb water, as a wood dowel does, that can become moldy over time.

Arrived without any scratches or flaws. Easy to cut. Easy to polish the ends to look as nice as the rest of the rod. Wow!

Exactly what I needed. The Acrylic rod is perfect for my application, but, it is 3/16inch shorter than the 12" advertised. I will have to figure out an 3/16 " extension. I will be needing many more 12 inch acrylic rods and I will have to adjust if they are less than the advertised 12" length.

Easy enough to work with. Bubbled a bit when it was warmed up to make a shape. Stayed clear after heating.

I have ordered this material twice - the first order of two rods came in and are 20mm diameter - 0.787".The second time I ordered it was a different supplier and 19mm - 0.748".This shouldn't be spec'd as 3/4" rod at all.Instead I found a local supplier that has legitimate 0.750" acrylic rod in 6' lengths and spent $28 on it. I am returning all three.
