Got this for my son’s second ACT test, since timing appeared to be an issue during his first attempt. He has practiced with it once and seems to work well. Hopefully this will help. It was recommended by his ACT tutor.

This watch helped my daughter improve her score from a 29 to 34. The watch is preset with the time for each section of the exam (there are even settings for those with extended time accommodations) . As time winds down, the perimeter of the watch gives a visual countdown that helped my daughter pace herself through each section. It was especially helpful on the reading section because there are four passages, and the perimeter of the watch has four sides. So she knew when she needed to move on to the next passage. Be sure to bring the paper insert to the actual exam. One of my daughter's friends was told she couldn't use the watch at the exam, but my daughter never had a problem as the insert identifies the watch as ACT approved.

I ordered a testing watch for my kid, and instead got a box of thermos mugs. I returned the mugs, but didn't get the watch i originally ordered. I messaged the testing timers folks (who only sell watches) and they airshipped one right away. Fast and responsive. Product works great and is helpful.

Would not have known about this or purchased if older cousin did not recommend. (Seems like a ridiculous money grab by the people that run the ACT.) But he told us the watch would’ve helped him a lot to know how much time was left during the different sections of the exam. So we bought the watch - our son has used it once and will use it a few more times as he focuses on different sections (math, English, etc) each time he takes the ACT to make his best composite score. Then we will pass it on to another cousin, then back to our house for our daughter. I think $50 for a single use is a lot, but used 7-8 times by a few different kids seems like a good investment.

daughter is using it for studying. She also said it was very helpful on actual test because she didn't have to keep looking up at the clock.
