I think this hook is great. I ordered one because reviews were mixed. I drilled a pilot hole with a drill bit slightly smaller (as I would when putting in any screw) and had no issues at all. Ordering at least2 more.

I bought two due to the reviews stating that they break off when screwing it into the wood. Sure enough, the first one snapped with very little pressure. The second worked fine. Once it is in, functions as expected and it is a nice addition.

Screws are long and skinny, tended to shear off / break when screwing in to table wood. Both hooks I bough broke! Nice style, so I just super glued them on instead.
