I had a mounting situation where I needed to mount my Stick Up Pro camera under my eaves, but the camera needs to look out from under those eaves into the driveway. So the camera mount has to hang the camera down from above, and lower it. This Ring mount is the only way to accomplish that easily.It seems some people are having trouble figuring out how to mount this camera, and in fairness the directions are just two pictures with some arrows. But it really is very easy. Here's a step by step with pics.1. The mounting plate has a cosmetic cover over itself. Remove it to expose the mount holes.2. Use the provided screws and screwdriver to attach the mount to your ceiling or wall or whatever. You can attach the mount to the mount holes in the camera on the bottom or the back so experiment a little to find the best setup. Also, if mounting onto wood your life will be a lot easier if you drill a pilot hole for each screw rather than muscling in the wood screw with a screwdriver by hand.3. Once the three screws are in place, the mount is now attached permanently. Snap the cosmetic cover back on. Use the supplied threaded screw to secure it.4. Install the camera into the Ring app and use the view in the app to position the camera just right. You can tighten a couple of screws on the mount to freeze it to just the right spot. DONE.As you can see from how I mounted mine, my solar panel connection has plenty of room to fit.

I recently purchased this camera mount to put up my Ring camera. The mount was easy to install, and I was able to adjust the camera to point in different directions. Product is good but the installation instruction that goes with the product needs to be more detailed - the two simple figures as instructions is very inadequate. I had to rely on instructions from You Tube.
