What a pretty teapot warmer this is! It is made of acacia wood and stainless steel, and is quite heavy duty. The warmer I received weighs 1 lb + 6.2 oz, so it is by no means lightweight. It has rubber grommets on the bottom that give it good grip on whatever surface it sits on, so it will not slide around. It is really a perfect size for most teapots and pour-over coffee pots as well as small to medium size sauce pans, and measures 6.25" (15.9 cm) in diameter. The strong and durable stainless steel grid pieces sits 9/16" (1.4 cm) above the top surface of the wood so a nice amount of height for the teapot or pan to be high enough off the wood yet close enough to the candle. There is a "well" where you place a tealight candle, and the candle fits perfectly into the well. (Note: no candles are included.)What I really like about this is it can be an excellent source of heat to cook food or boil water during power outages. And small enough that it is easy to store away when not in use. This is truly a beautiful piece, and I had no idea it would be so nice! Definitely deserving of 5 stars.

What a great idea. Just pop in a tea light candle and use your own bowl or pot to heat or keep foods warm. So far I have used this to melt butter in a mini enameled case iron cocotte, and to make a cup of cheese sauce for pasta in a Corelle bowl from my dinner set. In both cases it worked perfectly, and did not scorch either cooking utensil. To make 1 cup of cheese sauce probably took about half an hour. I simply threw in a tablespoon or two of butter, maybe half a cup of heavy cream and probably one-quarter cup of blue cheese. Half an hour later it was bubbling and I poured it over my pasta. Making such an item on the stovetop might be quicker, but it would also be riskier unless you used a bain marie or a double boiler. I was able to leave everything unattended with this, as the temperature from a single candle flame is low enough there's no danger of burning the food. I can imagine using this to make fondue as well, although for a larger volume it would obviously take longer. This is just the perfect little tabletop item, great for keeping foods warm as well.

Wow, it exceeded all my expectations. I mean it looked great on Amazon photos and that is the reason why I have ordered it. But when I received it I was just blown away, it's simply perfect. It is beautifully crafted from wooden blocks, it's not carved out of a solid piece of wood but rather from glued together blocks but it makes it even better. The bottom has four rubber feet that prevent any scratching of a table and sliding. The top has four thick metal plates inserted vertically into the wooden base for holding a teapot afloat. The metal plates are long enough to accommodate any teapot size from small to large. The candle holder is made of metal as well and can be removed from the wooden base for easy cleaning. Every detail is very well thought through and exceptionally made, it feels solid and very well made. I absolutely love this tea warmer!Bottom-line:Yes, I definitely recommend this teapot warmer for every tea lover!Pros:1) Beautiful design and exceptional quality.2) Rubber feet to prevent scratching and sliding.3) Metal plates keep a hot teapot away from the wooden base.4) Removable candle holder for cleaning.Cons:None.

I actually ordered this thinking I was ordering something else. So I figured I would give you some use either way so I did go ahead and use it as I'm glad that I didn't with a happy accident because this is extremely nice and it works very well durability excellent quality great it gets the job done and it really does make a nice piece to go with your furniture. The value for the money excellent I love The rustic look it is really nice I leave it out all the time even if I am not using it at the moment because it is just that pretty I definitely would say it is worth the value for the money especially if you're not buying this in accident like I did LOL if this is what you are truly going for look no further because this year is not only useful it is durable and great to look at. Hopefully this review is helpful and thank you for reading...

The "tea" warmer works okay, and looks nice. However it is limited to tea light candles only due to being made out of wooden material.Yes, I tried other fuels, but it damages the base. Even if the flame does not spill, the extra heat caused deformation. For comparison, a metal option would stand better at higher temperatures.Anyway, it works, and would get the job done for small to medium sized pots.
