I bought these to put up a desk partition made out of a 2'x3' 3/4" thick wood and it's doing its job very well. Yes, the piece of wood probably is above the weight limit that the clamps are designed for but they hold great.

Pro: It is very easy to follow the instructional video listed here, shipped very securely with bubble wrap, very well-built pieces, and everything fits perfectly together.Con:Missing 1 of the screws that mount the clasp to the clamp.

These are nicely designed, semi-permanent clamps that look good in place. They are built to hold a slender, upright object, such as a decorative separator panel or a sneeze guard in place above a solid mount, a table or desk. As such, they do an excellent job. They are very strong, keeping the object they are holding stable. For those people who order things without looking over the relevant product page(s), if there is a video it often shows how to assemble the item in question. That is the case here, with a well made instructional video on the clamps. 5 stars.

They advertise these for holding up acrylic partitions between desks. While these clamps will definitely work for that, they are useful for even more than that. In theory if you are trying to do some work in your desk area but you don't have enough room for a full vise grip, these will suffice. My main critique comes from the fact that these require assembly and there are no instructions at all. There are many different kinds and sizes of screws and they do not all work for the same things. It took me about 30 minutes to figure out what went where and which screws I would not need. There are plastic inserts for the insides of the clamps so that the material you are clamping in there will not be damaged. And there are a variety of center support screws that you need to swap between if you need to put thicker materials in there. I honestly find for my need the shortest ones work the best anyway, but it's nice to have the option. I just have no clue how I am going to store and keep track of those extra screws as I have so many things like this. The finish on the clamps is nice enough, kind of a low grade anodization that will not look out of place if you do use it for a partition. The bottoms have 4 screws so you can orient them horizontally or vertically if you are looking down at them relative to the plane of the install. Using the correct screws for that is one of the challenges because you need the flat ones, not the curved top ones that are for the under-desk screw-in supports.CONCLUSIONThis is a very nice product and it's being sold at a fair price point. I think most people will be able to figure out the assembly but some people may need some help with that. Once you get it all set up it's very easy to have a stable install that shouldn't require much if any maintenance.
