I wanted something natural and classic looking, simple, mostly for pie crusts. This is it, it's great. Easy material to flour so it doesn't stick, easy to wipe off and oil to keep clean. Haven't had an issue with it being dirty or unsanitary, I did worry about that at first. It's the perfect thickness and the rings aren't hard to get on but don't slide around when they are on. I have had to physically measure all the thickness rings and label them myself to know which is which. My one criticism is that I wish those were labeled with their thickness since they're not distinguishable by color or anything.

I am very happy with this rolling pin. It gives me accuracy and consistency when I bake, which is important for recipes that require even thickness and uniformity. It fits perfectly in my le cruset utensil holder and it is easy to store under the counter. I chose the 17 inch model because I bake a lot of cinnamon rolls and it can cover the entire dough sheet. It also works well for other types of dough, such as my bacon cheddar jalapeno biscuits. With this rolling pin, I can use a trifold technique to create layers of flakiness that are delicious and impressive. The rolling pin is very sturdy and the rubber spacer rings are durable and easy to adjust. It is also super easy to clean and maintain. I love this rolling pin and my family does too, because they enjoy the results of my improved cooking and baking. I highly recommend this product to anyone who loves baking.p.s. yes that is sourdough starter you see in one of the photos, so we will be utilizing this rolling pin more often in the near future!

There are a lot of rolling pins out there on the market right now and I felt like I researched all of them. after getting really confused with my online research I asked friends and family what the most important part of a rolling pin would be. The top answers were; has to be solid wood, easy to clean and oil, a length that will fit in your drawer. Armed with my new knowledge I set out to find the perfect rolling pin. I stumbled upon this one and I have to say that it fits all of the criteria of my friends and family. It is a little hard to get used to when you're used to rolling pins with handles but it's super easy to clean because it doesn't have handles and once you get used to it, you find you have more control. Out of the box it did come out a little bit dry, so I did oil it pretty thoroughly before my first use. The rolling pin also markets itself is thicker than most, I can't speak to the thickness as this is my first rolling pin but I can say that using this rolling pin is very easy. Whether that's because of the thickness I am not sure. Lastly, because it comes with rings that help you with thickness of dough (which is a super cool feature by the way) I love the fact that it's a straight rolling pin and not a French rolling pin which is thicker in the middle than on the sides. Most others that I saw when looking for this one had some type of screw in rings and that just looked like a nightmare to clean. These rings come right off and you can clean them or even throw them in the dishwasher. All in all I would say this rolling pin is a great rolling pin for the price.

I do really like this, but the rings aren’t labeled so you don’t know which size they are, the rings also are hard to get onto the pin.

I love this roller! I use it for rolling out clay for ceramics, and I love it cause the wood isn't treat it. I will get another one for my baking and will treat it with food safe Tung oil to keep it from molding.I definitely recommend it.I hope the rings keep their elasticity for a long time.

So I just received this rolling pin and this review is just based on the pin itself. The rings do not have markings on them as to what size they are. Would have preferred the measurements be given in fractions instead of mm. There were no instructions with this item as to care and maintenance, I had to log back into the store and re read the description. Not a great presentation to start off.
