Doesn't fit all saxes, and honestly was just not all that comfortable. Would not be safe using it on a high-end sax if there is a risk of slippage and damage.

This leather pad thumb rest offers comfort, making long practice sessions or performance more manageable, non-slip design makes that the thumb stays in place while playing, my son said this is a very useful accessory for saxophonists looking for comfort and better ergonomics during long playing sessions .

This thumb rest is much more comfortable than the original one on my saxophone. The screw fitment is fine. However, it's a little too long and tall for my sax.

This is a good idea but one problem it does not fit my Selmer Mark VI Alto or Baritone. DO NOT BUY if you have a SELMER MARK VI...

Saxophone the metal portion does not fit our specific model of baritone saxophone. The sleeve still fits the plastic casing on the original thumb rest. Comfortable and sift leather.

I help out with a local high school with repairing instruments and other duties. I saw this thumb rest and wanted to give it a try with one of the students who was struggling with holding the sax for long periods of time in the marching band. The thumb rest did not fit perfectly as I would have liked, but after a few modifications, it was able to be attached and used without a problem. The students was more than happy to use the thumb rest and reported it as a big help while playing in the marching band. The 3-star rating was because I had to do some modifications instead of screwing it on right out of the box.

What I had expected was a thumb pad for my saxophone. The product name does suggest that, although in retrospect it's a little ambiguous: "adorence Saxophone Thumb Rest (Comfy Leather Pad, Non Slip Design) - Sax Thumb Rest Leather Cushion for Tenor, Baritone, Alto." What I received is a complete replacement for the thumb rest.Note the instructions in my photos. The first step describes removing the existing thumb rest with a screwdriver. Well, of my two saxophones -- an old Bundy alto and an even older Conn tenor -- the thumb rests are welded on.What would make more sense to me, and what I had expected, was a sort of glove or slip-on cover for the thumb rest. I did remove the pad from the metal thumb rest, and it slipped right off. But it does not fit onto my existing thumb rests due to the welding. This goes back in the box.If you want to consider this product, first check your saxophone to determine whether the thumb rest is removable.

I have an Eastman tenor sax. The attachment for the thumb Rest is designed for a thumb Rest that has a circular or oval cut out as opposed to the square cut out on this thumb rest. The cushioning material is soft and fits the rest properly. However, it only secures to the saxophone and a vertical position and is not adjustable left or right because the mounting hole of this particular thumb rest is square. Since I cannot adjust the thumb rest left or right to have the proper angle to fit my hand and the way I hold the horn , this rest does not work for me. If you were saxophone has a square mounting, boss, I think this would work well.

商品は、サクソフォンのメタルサムフックとレザーパッドのセットです。以前は、楽器の純正サムフックはプラスチック製が多かったですが、近年では響きやレスポンスの良さから、最初から金属製サムフックが標準で付いていることが増えました。このサムフックもそんな評価の高い金属製。特に2,000円を切る価格で、メタルサムフックを手にできるのは、とても魅力的。加えて、この商品の売りは、そのメタルのサムフックではなく、レザーパッド。付け心地、触り心地はgoodです。なお、この商品のメタルサムフック本体の幅は、一般的なサムフックより2mmほど細身に作られており、レザーパッドはそれにピッタリのサイズです。ゆえに、レザーパッドだけを別のサムフック（楽器の純正品など）に流用するのが、ちょっと難しそう。また、逆にサムフック自体はバリなどこそないものの、少し角ばった作りで、レザーパッドをつけずに吹くと、親指に違和感も感じます。なので、レザーパッドをつけるのが前提の、メタルサムフックという印象です。肝心の吹奏感は、プラスチック製の一般的なサムフックに比べて、音がまとまりつつも抜けるようになり、吹きやすく、好みによりますが、少なくない人が「音が良くなった」と感じられると思います。もちろん、同じメタルでも金メッキ仕上げの華やかなサウンドや、ウッドストーンやヤナギサワのサムフックのような、本体との接地面に工夫があるものの軽やかなレスポンスにこそ劣りますが、メタルサムフックとしての良さをきちんと持っています。そしてこれが2,000円を切る価格というのは、ものすごく魅力的。と、ここまでは、☆5相当です。しかし残念なところ、要注意なところがどうしても出てきます。まず、このサムフックが使用できる楽器について。セルマーについては、現行セルマー（Jubilee以降）→使用可能旧セルマー（ティアドロップ型）→使用不可この2点は手持ちの楽器で確認しました。あとは実際の楽器では確認はしていませんが、形状から判断すると、ヤナギサワの楽器では使用可能、ヤマハの楽器には使用不可ではないかと思います。実際のサムフックの形状は、写真も参考にしてください（サムフックが２つ写っている写真は、右がこのadorenceというサムフック、左が現行セルマーのサムフックです）。そして、写真からも分かるように、セルマー等の一般的なサムフックに比べ、長さ（高さ）が少し大きいです。そのため、タイトな楽器ケース（楽器の純正ケースや、SelmerやBamなど、ケース内部が楽器の形にあらかじめ成形されているケース、またはコンパクトなケース）の場合、サムフックがケースに干渉し、場合によっては楽器が収納できなくなる可能性があります。また、演奏時に関して言えば、サムフックの留め具の形状によってはレザーパッドが大きく持ち上げられ（楽器装着時の写真参照）親指の置き場所がキツくなる場合もありそうです（もっとも、親指が固定される感覚もあるので、これは好みが分かれそう）。以上のように、その形状やサイズ感ゆえに、なんの考えもなしに購入すると、購入した人の半数以上が、・楽器のメーカー・モデルとの整合性・楽器ケースとの相性によって、使えない！となるリスクがあります。こうした楽器小物として購入者に提供するべき情報がメーカーから全く提供されておらず、購入者が商品を使えない可能性が多々あるため、先の☆5から-2して、☆3とさせていただきました。実際には、現行セルマーやヤナギサワ、またはそれと同じ形状のサムフックの楽器のユーザーで、スペースに余裕のある楽器ケースを使っている人→☆5（※コスパも加味した結果）上記以外の楽器のユーザー、またスペースに余裕のない（一般的な）楽器ケースを使用している人→☆1（〜2 ※ケースに入れる時だけ、サムフックを外すという面倒な手段もなくはないので）という印象です。参考になれば幸いです。

私の持っていたアルトサックスにはサイズとして合わず、また実際に並べてみた時純正品と比べてやや加工も甘い部分有り。そのリスク考えると安くはないなぁと。レザーパットは良いですが、当然この商品にピッタリサイズで仕上がっているので、外して既製品に取り付けようとしてもやはりサイズが合わなかったりするわけです。それでそれで、メーカーさん側でせめて定格の仕様を表示しておいてもらうと購入の際にもありがたいなぁと。

playtechのptts300での所感です．生地が分厚く，サラサラとザラザラの中間ぐらいの触り心地でグリップ感と触り心地が両立されている感じです．サイズ感は純正のモノと大きく変わらないので，違和感なく移行できました．分厚い分，パッドの下部がビラビラと遊んでいる状態なので，時々指が引っかかって気になりました．

レザーパッドは付け心地がいいです。レザーパッドだけ外して、セルマーにつけてもちょっと開き気味ですが使えます。金属のサムフックは鉄板を曲げてメッキしただけなので、あまり使う気がしません。
