  • Low noise: Are your neighbors annoyed when you exercise on the drum mat or electronic drum? Silent drumsticks reduce battery volume from -4 to -9 dB compared to normal drumsticks. If you exercise on an electronic drum or training pad, you will also produce less "thwack". So instead of receiving annoying calls from your neighbors, they can even become your fans.
  • The role of electronic drumsticks is to trigger electronic sounds and not produce annoying typing noises. The tips of the electronic sticks are more flexible and flexible, so the contact noise between the stick and the pad is minimal and no longer bothers.
  • Normal Chopsticks Feel: Yes, the chopsticks (14.5cm long, handle width like 5A wooden chopsticks) are much lighter than normal wooden chopsticks, but thanks to the impact-resistant polycarbonate shaft and the dual loop reflex tip, you get a good rebound effect of the chopstick. Notes 16 are no problem. Silent drumsticks allow precise drumming technique and low sound volume.
  • A polycarbonate handle filled with slightly heavier air (heavier than the version) allows the tips to hit the pads with enough speed to activate their sounds while reducing the "thwack".

Lower volume, better sound

How to reduce the volume of a drum kit for an acoustic band setting?

  • In a church, for example, the drummer is placed behind a Plexiglas Drum Shield, and the drums are then amplified to control the volume. That's a lot of equipment for volume control.
  • Or, drummers use special sticks, such as Wood Rods, but they don't have the typical sound and feel of a drumstick.

With Adoro Silent Sticks you get less volume and the rebound feeling of normal drum sticks (unlike rods).

Crisp sound Less "thwack".

Silent Sticks sound pretty much like normal drumsticks. Thanks to the dual loop reflex tip, drummers get the rebound effect of wood sticks without the penetrating "thwack" on pads. Percussion instruments such as children's drums, e drum set and drum practice pad are therefore much less annoying.

Less volume. Better sound

You don't have to downgrade to a Cajon to play in quiet venues. The shock-absorbing polycarbonate shafts absorb vibrations so listeners hear more drums and less stick.

Good grip. Good control.

The Dual-Textured Anti-Slip X-Grip keeps the sticks from slipping out of your hand. The handle is 15.5 mm in diameter, which is similar to a 5A drum stick. Silent Sticks are also suitable for small hands to play on a children's drum.

FAQ:

  1. Are these drumsticks really designed for live performance? Silent sticks were first and foremost designed for live playing, for intimate living room gigs, and for recording sessions.
  2. Why is Adoro Drums able to offer such sticks? Adoro specializes in solutions for quiet drums, with their own heads, drums and sticks. Their drums are used by orchestras, theaters and churches, recording studios, and anywhere else where the most balanced acoustic sound is needed.
  3. How much quieter are they than normal sticks? The fact that the sticks are about 4-9dB* quieter (i.e. up to 80% quieter) is due not only to their light weight thanks to their polycarbonate shaft, but above all to the dual-twist reflex tips, which absorb most of the impact, deform, and thus, unlike rods and comparable solutions, give the stick its rebound - only much quieter. (*measured with a certified dB meter)
  4. Do they work on cymbals and any type of drum? On both drums and cymbals, Silent Sticks achieve an excellent sound, very close to that of normal sticks.
  5. These drum sticks can't be any better than a Pelxiglas cage, can they? In fact, the silent sticks reduce the drum volume without massively affecting its sound. The same cannot be said of drum shields, which are either only useful at short distances (to the miking) - e.g. to minimize crosstalk from drums into other mics, but not to get the drums themselves quieter in the room. Full Encosure, i.e. completely closed booths usually reduce the volume by between 6-15dB, depending on the design, but unfortunately they do not improve the sound, on the contrary, miking becomes indispensable; this is therefore only possible at large concerts, where the drums can still be drowned out by the music system. At small, intimate concerts, however, one would be at a loss. Here the Silent Sticks - especially in combination with our Worship Series Drums - show their advantages to the full: the drums still sound crisp and lively, just much quieter. And if you play a drum set like the Worship Series, which already has a really fat sound when played quietly, you will not only be perceived much quieter, but also have a stunningly good sound with it. If you want a good sound with the drums you already play, make sure to use single ply heads, and tune well, as the more accurate your heads are in tune, the less loud they can be played while still giving you a nice tone. Bad drum sound with silent sticks are usually a result from drums not being sensitive enough for soft play.
  6. What about quiet practice? Are they better than drum pads or silicone tips? For practicing - even on e-drums for late night silent sessions - silent sticks are great. They're still easy to hear on acoustic drums, but roommates will notice the difference. For those who don't want to sacrifice good sound while practicing, this is a really viable solution.
  7. How durable are they compared to regular wooden sticks? Compared to lightweight wooden sticks, Silent Sticks last about two to three times as long, but especially much longer than Wood Rods.

I set up an acoustic drum set for my son in the basement, and was way too loud for my wife. The sounds reverberated through the whole house. I was desperate to to damper not only the toms, kick and snare but the also the cymbals were killing us. I got a set of Eastrock Drum mute padshttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBG834QC?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titlethat included cymbal mutes. They were great for the toms and even the kick but the snare and cymbal dampeners left much to be desired. The cymbal pads made the cymbals sound clanky and totally took the dynamics out of the cymbals. I saw a set of Low Volume Cymbal Pack Mute Cymbal Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FT13ZMD?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1but was very skeptical for the $60 price. I figured they would sound terrible and damage quickly. To my surprise they sounded great! I prefer them to our Zildjian ZBT set we have. Nice sizzle and dynamics at half the noise level. We also paired them with a set of Adoro Silent Sticks https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094YJ9SCG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titleand we are very pleased. The sticks significantly reduce the sound and have great feel and rebound. As far as the snare goes, my son just covers with a t shirt and with the sticks, it really helps the volume without sacrificing the feel. Still working on this and will update if I find a good solution for the snare. I'm hoping these Sticks will last! I paid about $136 for all three (pad, Mute cymbals and silent sticks) and was money well spent. Get the combo, you won't be disappointed!

We needed sticks that could play quieter for smaller venues. We got a bunch of quiet sticks and this is the one we all like the best. I was sure they would break soon but after months in use, they are very durable, good sounding and they have a great feel.

My band practices in a small room and needed the sound of my drums and cymbals to be quieter. I tried these sticks and noticed a huge difference in my volume. They feel great too. Some playing skills, like rolls, had to be redeveloped, but I’m getting used to these sticks. They’re much more bright than multi-rod, dowel sticks. I bought a second set as a backup.

The sticks worked well for three rehearsals then the tips started loosening. I attempted to request replacement tips or new sticks however I received no response. Poor customer service.

I was excied to try these sticks as I liked the promise of 50% decress in volume. After about 5-6 times of practicing with these sticks the Loop at he top of one of the sticks jumped out of the stick. How frustrating! Now if I TRY to practice with them I have to squeez the loops back in only to have them jump out again. It happends in the middle of practice and I have to stop what I am doing to look for the loops. One does not like to have undue distractions during practice. The sticks are a bit light but they feel pretty good. Now if they could only figure out a way to keep the loops from coming out of the holes? It would almost be worth the $24 I spent. I even bought another pair for a friend. Frankly $24 is too dam expensive for something that will break after 5-6 times used. No problems with the seller. They delivered these on time no problem. If ADORO could improve this concept so these will be more durable and decrease this $24 to something more reasonable, I would say they got something there. But not yet. It is a perfect time for another manufacturer to jump on their concept and make something that works better. I wanted to love them. They just didn't pass Muster. I hope they figure it out soon.

I can't stand the sound of playing the snare with sticks when practicing. It sounds like the British Army in the 1800's going to war. These are fantastic. I've used rods but these are more sticks and give more of that feel. It's also if I'm playing with people and it's acoustic or low volume, these work well. Great invention.
