So I initially purchased because the original vent lifted up and tore. Which ment clothes were being snagged and ruined. I initially didn't properly clean the vent so the replacement filter was still not flush as it should be. Frustrated, I search for other vents but read a review suggesting to clean the vent. So after years of not cleaning underneath regularly the lint compacts forcing the filter to lift. And since filter this has wings on the end it starts to snag your close or strings get cut/tangled up. After unscrewing and taking out the vent, I cleaned it and you can see how much build up was sitting inside. Now the filter is able to sit flush and not snag my clothes. So make sure to regularly clean the vent to not have this problem again.

The filter is the exact replacement filter for our Kenmore dryer. I noticed that the fit is a little tighter than the older one. Hopefully it’ll fit better as time goes on.

This filter IS NOT COMPATIBLE with LG Model DLE3170W and has ruined a bunch of expensive shirts as they cathch on the sides of the filter which are not flush with the machine.
