This was a birthday gift for my son, who has mastered playing the baritone independently. He Loves It. Play's great no problems at all.

The Baritone was delivered as promised. It was ready to play, although the mouthpiece was not a very good one. I went to my local Sam Ash Music Store and bought a Bach mouthpiece with a smaller shank and that did the trick. Marching ready!!!

I got this for my son for marching band. The teacher was impressed with the sound and my son loves it too. The only issue was sun glare when playing outside. I wanted to paint the top area, but I'm a father that doesn't play, so what do I know.

Please do not purchase this instrument. We received an unplayable horn, the valves were bent internally and would stick down. My son is an accomplished musician and we were looking for a simple marching horn at a reasonable price. He cleaned and re-lubricated the valves but could not get it to work. His director agreed the instrument was defective. It was also so flat that they could not even get it to hold appropriate tuning. Very disappointed. The seller did allow us to return the item for our money back but please save yourself the hassle and spend a little more for a decent horn from a reputable music store where you can go in and play the horn prior to purchase.

The sound quality is the bare minimum of what you should get out of a baritone, the quality of the case is super cheap but that’s to be expected, the performance of the horn is good, the valves are smooth but have a hint of grit which makes them feel less smooth. The chrome plating came with discoloration on some parts but aren’t too noticeable, some tubes are loose fitted which pop out if you blow enough air into it. Overall decent for the price, good for beginners but terrible for professionals. Also the mouthpiece is terrible. If you buy this. consider buying a different mouthpiece

Like the horn very much. Case is strong. Did not come with fingering chart.

First of all the arrived in a case that had chewing gum and fur stuck to the case. When I opened the instrument, I noticed there was a crusty buildup on the mouthpiece, and that the horn itself was tarnished. It was plain to see that this instrument has been used several times. It is not a marching baritone it is a Euphonium. It had a ton of spit buildup in it. I cleaned it up the best I could and disinfected the mouthpiece and the sound quality was not good throwing a few extra hundred dollars and you can get yourself a much better instrument. I have started a return for this and will update it when I receive my money back.

I absolutely love this marching baritone. I bought it for our centennial band alumni event, and all the other baritone alumns were admiring it. Being used to "permavalve" (where your keys stick for no reason in the middle of a performance and only when you have no access to valve oil), it was nice to have a marching baritone that was new and not borrowed where the valves were reliable. A little valve oil, and I was good to go. Note that this baritone uses a small shank mouthpiece (I already had Benge 61/2ALs in large and small shank), and I think the one supplied was a small shank 12 or something more suited to a newer player. I just wish the manufacturer had made these baritones when I was in college. It was very inexpensive and well worth the money not having to borrow one whenever I needed to take the field.
