Very low quality for $35; wood was chipped in several places and the corners were not well sanded down. It shot the bolt it came with okay, but the third time I shot it something made a loud creaking wood noise within the crossbow and I didn't try to shoot it again for fear of it breaking on me.

Despite being a toy with rubber tipped arrows, this product is surprisingly well made and effective. It has the appearance of a real medieval crossbow with dramatic, stained wood. It has a soft plastic bow string that gets drawn back and hooked above a trigger assembly, then a short wooden arrow with plastic tip is placed on the crossbow and then the trigger is pulled. The arrow can go all the way across the room rather precisely but loses force quickly. The soft rubber arrowhead is not very aerodynamic so it won't shoot too far. It is also soft enough where it will not do much damage even if it hits somebody. We are mainly using it for target practice, such as knocking down cans, and a close range it is very effective.With the exceptions of really young children, anyone can use this product. It is easy to draw back and the trigger is oversized and very light to the touch. The arrows consist of short thin dowels with an arrowhead-shaped piece of rubbery plastic at the end. Overall this is a lot of fun and is great for learning about actual crossbows, or just having fun and playing Robin Hood. Everything works well and it appears to be made with high quality wood, there are no loose parts or poor fitting seams, everything is constructed very well with this crossbow!

My kids love this bow and I like it's made out of wood! I did have to glue one part back but my youngest was being rough that day and dropped it. It had some arrows it comes with with a silicone type plastic for the tips. It can throw the arrows pretty far we have a target we use to hit and the kids have a lot of fun playing with this.

This toy crossbow is good in all ways! Here is my list to sum it up!- Well packed.- Makes a good gift.- Easy assembly.- Comes with a quiver to hold the bolts.- Easy to load.- Safe to use.- Durable.- Lightweight.- Accurate.- Easy to clean.- Almost completely made of wood.- Good size.All in all, this crossbow toy is awesome in terms of performance and quality!
