If you add this thermo sensor switch to your gas fireplace blower, it will give automatic fan operation with gas fireplaces. You can leave the fan always plugged in instead of having to unplug it when leaving the house or going to bed. The fan comes on shortly after the fire has heated the stove up and then goes off when things cool down. Turned your "stupid" fireplace fan into a smart one. SIMPLE TO REPLACE: 5 minute fix for a broken switch, just sticks to the bottom of the firebox with the built in magnet, nothing to install, work perfectly!
TEMPERATURE RANGE: Magnetic temperature switch activate approximately at 120°F (50°C), shut off approximately at 90°F (32°C). Blower will not START until thermostat is heated to approximately 120 °F.

Installation was 10 minutes. Working perfectly. No longer have to turn the fan on/off. Best thing is we can turn off the fireplace (gas) and the fan shuts off when the box cools down. Should have done it years ago.

Works as advertised. But there are two minor issues.1- The connectors on the wires are both male. I needed 1 male, 1 female.2- I wish it turned on at high speed rather than low. I use it on high 95%+ of the time. Having to fully rotate it every time I open the door to add wood is a nuisance.

I bought this for my Regency insert as the router speed control unit died last year and the cost had risen to $25 to replace it. This barely fits in the space that the old High speed/ Low speed / Off three way switch occupied, but it fits. The high speed was too noisy, the low speed too weak; the router control allowed me to find the sweet spot. This does the same thing, is not another cord to work around, and is much more affordable.You must have some basic electrical knowledge to make this change, and to reduce my liability (you are on your own if you choose to do this, I am not responsible if you fry yourself or burn your house down!)

I had a switch that I could no longer use to control the blower for the fireplace. This $12 part saved me from having to get something far more expensive. Works as described; would buy again if needed!

Install was easy, we did have to change out the ends to be compatible with the receiving end wires, but started the fan right up once installed.
